I was going through photos from my past life and came across this picture of a person who was pounds heavier than what she is today. Who is this girl?!? The photo on the left was taken in 2010. Two friggin years ago! The photo on the right was taken this morning after my morning run, which, mind you, I never do because I repeatedly tell myself that I’m no runner. Never say never. I was on a runners high and it was my first time running in a very long time. And boy did it feel good. My mind was clear and just ran for 30 solid minutes and hit a little over 2 miles. Okay just kidding, maybe 28 minutes and the other two minutes were recovery walks. I have no clue as to whether or not that’s a good thing in terms of timing and miles, but I friggin did it. Now I’m ready to build up my endurance and beat my time next time around. 

So when I saw the comparison of these photos this morning, I gasped. I didn’t even recognize myself. Two years ago was when I decided to make a change in my lifestyle to a healthier one + where I am today, two months in with the Les Mills program, is living proof that I sweated my arse off and was a hot mess this AM. I’m only on Day 52 with Les Mills and looking forward to Day 90! The results are REAL. I may be a designer, but there are no Photoshop manipulations here, buddy. This has been one incredible journey because I’ve had my share of high’s and low’s just like you. But you know what? We are all a work in progress. Your determination and perseverance will make you reach your goals. Believe in YOU. You’ve got one body, so make it look BADASS! SWEAT ONCE A DAY. The first step is always the hardest. Just GET UP and STAY ACTIVE! Your body will thank you, guaranteed.
